uring their travels, the owners of this newly constructed Palladian style villa developed a deep appreciation for the characteristics of Italian architecture. They decided to purchase a riverfront site on a unique peninsula surrounded on three sides by the waters of the Bogue Falaya River. Accordingly, the design requirements were similar to the residential structures they admired in Venice. The ground floor was designed to endure high water. An arched Portico across the facade defines the entrance to a central Foyer. Outdoor living areas below the house include a large screened porch and corresponding open Loggia with matching arches.
The main floor is shaped like a Greek cross and is entirely comprised of major living and entertaining
areas with expansive panoramic views. At the upper level, the Master Suite has a commanding view of the river. Three children's bedrooms and a large utility room conveniently comprise the balance of the upper floor.
