his Florida style residence with sunlight streaming through massive glass openings was designed to fulfill the owners' desire to feel like they are on vacation the moment they enter their home. The dramatic Great Room is surrounded on three sides by mezzanine living spaces and features a two-story wall of glass overlooking the lake. The lofty vaulted ceiling is accented by perimeter cove lighting and a large semi-circular dormer window floods the Great Room with natural daylight. The Kitchen is oriented diagonally between the Great Room and Media Room to facilitate interaction with family and friends while simultaneously concealing cooking activities through changes in counter heights and floor elevation. A ground floor Master Suite at the rear of the house balances the Media Room wing to form a courtyard with swimming pool and spa. Three spacious bedroom suites and a sitting area on the second floor are carefully positioned to capture expansive views of the lakefront and the landscaped courtyard below. This new home was featured in New Orleans Magazine and as the cover story in Gambit Home Smart. Related Articles
