he tranquil wooded hillside of this Westchester County estate near historic Bedford Village lured the owners from their busy professional lives in New York City.
The design concept for their Federal style residence included a glass corridor behind the home connecting to an original cottage that was renovated as a weekend get-away before the owners decided to develop a permanent residence. Special design feat- ures of the home include a marble floored Solarium having triple exterior exposure through glass French doors with elliptical
fan windows that provide a panoramic view of the front lawn, swimming area, and stone terraced hillside. A large Parlor, extending from front to
rear of the home, has tall windows on both ends overlooking the grounds. A pair of doors beside the fireplace in the Parlor open to the Solarium, nearly doubling the ent-ertaining area. Across the Foyer from the Parlor, a wood paneled Library with
corner fireplace creates a cozy retreat for reading or relaxation after a rigorous day.
