lassical design elements arranged in a contemporary format are combined to create this waterfront villa with extensive views of a parkway and a wide waterway winding through the neighborhood. To capture the unique panoramic vistas, major entertaining areas and the Master Suite are situated on the upper floor in twin gabled wings of the façade. The Great Room, with vaulted ceiling and a large oculus window, is strategically positioned at the corner of the house with magnificent views of the water and surrounding parkway. A trellis covered deck is recessed into the rear façade and extends between the Great Room and Breakfast Room overlooking the water. The Dining Room is suspended above the main entrance with a solid glass wall creating tree top views of the park landscape. A two-story Atrium surrounded by the living spaces floods the center of the house with sunlight. The award winning design of this new residence was honored by the American Institute of Architects in New Orleans. Related Articles
