esigned in the tradition of European manor houses, this stately home features a timber truss ceiling in the Great Room that was fashioned after the owner's previous residence in River Oaks. The heavy timber beam are lit by an oval window in the end gable and three pair of tall French doors with elliptical fan transoms that open onto a landscaped courtyard. A transverse hallway links the Great Room and Dining Room to the entrance Foyer, Master Suite and stair hall to second floor Guest Suites. Display cabinetry in the hallway was carefully designed to match paneled casework with doors and shelves of glass to present the owner's extensive collection of porcelain figurines. Exceptionally high ceilings throughout the main floor provide a spacious atmosphere appointed with fine paintings and tapestries. The simple composition of matching front and rear façades are comprised of elegantly proportioned doors and windows forming the exterior fenestration. This new home was prominently featured in Texas Homes magazine. Related Articles
